Switch between the live app and preview if available to test new features early

In BoxMate we have a way of allowing you to access and test features that are not yet fully released for the purpose of testing and review.

Your app is by default on the Production channel which is the live, fully tested and approved version everyone is using. To access the preview features you need to switch your app to the BETA channel.

This is something you can control yourself or you may be added to the BETA channel by the owner at your gym if they are testing a new feature that requires all members to be using the preview.

Enabling Preview Features πŸš€

1) Head to the home tab and tap the BoxMate logo at the top of the page:

2) On the support page scroll down to the app details section and tap the Join BETA Channel button which will switch you to that channel, give it a second and if it doesn't automatically check for updates tap Check For Updates

3) You will now be shown a message if there is an update available (it may be a basic alert or a more detailed feature popup) and you can choose to continue with the update which will complete and then reload the app.

Reporting Issues or Leaving Feedback πŸ“’

To give feedback or report an issue to us please use the question icon in the top left corner of the home page, it's important that we know about any issues so we can fix/improve them before the final release.

Troubleshooting 🐞

Issue: "My gym switched everyone over to the preview but my app didn't update".

Solution: BoxMate checks once daily for a new update, If your app has already checked today and then your gym was moved to preview mode after this you can manually follow the steps above to check for updates (you can skip the switch channel part).

Reverting Back πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

If you are having issues with the preview/BETA version and want to return to the live app to fix an issue follow the steps above but select Switch To Production instead of Switch To BETA.
