Troubleshooting "No Programming"

This guide covers how to fix the issue where your BoxMate app is not showing programming, usually caused by a missing or corrupted default programme.

Written by Costa Bontioti

📝 Overview

If your programming was working fine and then suddenly stopped displaying (often after an update or overnight), the most common cause is that your app's default programme has become blank or corrupted. This guide walks you through checking and resetting it.

🔎 Checking & Fixing Your Default Programme

Follow the steps below to check whether your default programme is set correctly and reset it if needed.

Click the arrow to view the fix steps

  1. From the Home tab, tap the BoxMate logo at the top of the page, then scroll to and tap Preferences. Under App Configuration, find Default Programme.

If the space to the right of Default Programme is blank, your app is set to a programme that no longer exists or the setting has been corrupted.

  2. Tap Default Programme to open the list of available programmes, then select your primary programme.

  3. Close Preferences. From the Home screen, tap the BoxMate logo again, scroll down to Reset, and confirm. This forces the app to save the new programme selection.

  4. Force close the app completely (a normal minimise and reopen will not work), then reopen it. Your programming should now display correctly.

💡 Not sure how to force close an app? See the guides for iPhone or Android.

⚠️ If the steps above do not resolve the issue, contact the BoxMate team via the support widget or email support@boxmateapp.co.uk.

Why did my programming disappear?

The most common cause is that the default programme in your app settings has become blank or corrupted - often after an app update or if a programme was renamed or removed by your gym. Resetting it to the correct programme should fix the issue.

Why do I need to force close the app after resetting?

BoxMate stores the default programme selection locally to load faster. A normal minimise and reopen does not clear this cache - you need to force close and reopen so the app picks up the new programme.

I do not know which programme to select - what should I do?

Ask a coach at your gym which programme you should be following. They will be able to tell you the correct one to select from the list.
