How to fix issues with your app before they are publicly released πŸ§‘β€πŸ”§

We always try our absolute best to make sure when we update our app we don't break anything and that all new features work 100% in every single way shape or form... but we are human so that doesn't always go to plan πŸ‘€

Here we will cover how you can access fixes really quickly before they are available to everyone and it's very simple.

From the home tab tap the BoxMate Logo at the top of the screen, then scroll down to App Details/Advanced, tap Join HotFix Channel and then Check For Updates (Must be in that order):

If there is a HotFix version available you will be prompted to update, select continue and then the app will update and reload.

If you want to switch back to the live production version you can follow the same steps and choose the other channel.

How This Works

Luckily, we built our app in a unique way where we have 3 versions running most of the time which you can switch between:

Production: The live app that everyone is running and is our latest live release

BETA: The next version of the app which becomes available close to new updates

HotFix: Sometimes available after an update with quick fixes for issues that we aren't ready to release to absolutely everyone just yet either because they aren't fully tested or there are more to add. Eventually when this is finished it becomes the production version.
