Lifestyle 🍎 - Members

This guide covers how to find, register for, and use Lifestyle plans in the BoxMate app as a member, including tracking metrics, nutrition, check-ins, and tokens.

Written by Costa Bontioti

πŸ“ Overview

If your coaches have set up a Lifestyle plan at your gym, you can take part right from the BoxMate app. Plans may include daily metrics (such as steps or water intake), nutrition tracking, habits, feelings, check-ins, workouts, recipes, and more.

This guide walks you through finding a plan, registering, and completing your daily tasks.

πŸ› οΈ Finding & Registering for a Plan

To find active plans, head to the Timetable tab in the app and tap the signpost icon in the top left. Scroll down past Competitions and Challenges to see Lifestyle Plans 🍎.

If there are multiple plans available you can swipe through them. Tap a plan to view its details and start date, then tap Register to sign up.

Click the arrow to learn about free and paid plans

Free plans β€” You are registered immediately and can start inputting data as soon as the plan begins.

Paid plans β€” If you already have the required membership type, you are automatically entered. If not, you will be asked to purchase the required membership to join.

πŸ› οΈ Completing Daily Tasks

Once inside the plan page, scroll through the daily steps set by your coaches and input the required information (e.g. how motivated you are feeling, how many steps you have taken). All input auto-saves, so you can come back and finish later. The daily progress chart at the top shows the percentage you have completed so far.

Click the arrow to learn about plan chat and calendar

Group Chat β€” If your coach has enabled chat, tap the message icon in the top right to access the group chat. Any active participant can share messages, pictures, and GIFs here.

Calendar β€” Tap the calendar icon next to the message icon to open a calendar view. This lets you go back to any day in the plan to edit or update your metrics.

πŸ› οΈ Nutrition Tracking

If your coach has set this up as a nutrition plan, you will be asked to input daily nutrition data in a separate pop-up β€” such as calories, carbs, fats, protein, and photos (depending on what your coach has requested).

Complete this at the end of each day so you can enter your totals across the full day in one entry.

πŸ“ Attendances & Workouts

Your TeamUp attendances pull in automatically, showing how many sessions you have attended out of the total target set by your coach. If weekly workouts have been programmed for you to complete and log scores for, they will appear here too.

πŸ› οΈ Check-Ins & Exemptions

Your coach can set check-in points throughout the plan, which may ask for measurements, weight, progress photos, or other information. When a check-in is due it will display clearly at the top of the plan page.

Click the arrow to learn more about check-ins and exemptions

Check-in information is visible to yourself and your coaches only. If you are uncomfortable uploading progress pictures, speak to a coach β€” they can set an individual exemption for you so that it does not affect your overall completion score.

πŸ“ Tokens

If your coach has added tokens to the plan, you can use them to bypass a required metric on a specific day without it affecting your completion score.

Click the arrow to learn how tokens work

For example, if your coach allows 3 tokens over a 4-week plan, you could use one token to skip submitting your 10,000 steps on a day when you fall short. Activate the token first, then tap the metric you are using it against.

πŸ“Š Viewing Your Progress

Tap View Progress at the top of the plan page to see your overall completion, including fully completed days and body weight measurements across check-in points.

Click the arrow to learn more about the progress page

Tap through individual metrics to see the targets set by your coach. If this is a nutrition plan, your calorie and macro targets are individualised. If your coach updates your targets during the plan, you will receive a notification and the new targets will display here.

On any metric you can see your input data in both graph and list view. If your coach has leaderboards enabled, you can also see how you compare with other members on the plan.

πŸ“± Homepage Widget

You can add a Lifestyle widget to your Homepage for quick daily access. Navigate to Burger Menu ➜ Preferences, search or scroll to Dashboard Widgets, and turn on the Lifestyle widget.
