A customer's current grade is the latest promotion they received. New customers will be prompted to set their initial grade the first time they open the app and select the grades tab.
Adding Promotions
To manually promote a customer to a new grade, head to Martial Arts from the sidebar and then Customers.
Note (Non-Important): This shows a list of all TeamUp customers and includes their current grade (This is different from the main members list, as it includes all customers, not just those using BoxMate - promotions are tied to the TeamUp customer, not the BoxMate member account)
From the customer list, click New Promotion to add a new promotion and promote the customer to a new grade, which will display a pop-up.
Promotion Grade - Choose the grade to promote to, which will then become the active grade. You can progress as far as you like here, and with it being manual skip grades or move grade systems freely.
Promotion Date - The date to use for the promotions. This will have an effect when using the Minimum Days criteria in a grade system, as the last promotion date is considered when checking upgrade eligibility.
Notify Customer - Select whether you want the customer to receive an email and push notification in the application.
Once complete, hit Save Promotion to add, and this will become the new active grade for the customer and be visible in the app.
Updating Promotions
By clicking the current grade name in the centre of the list, you can make changes to it in the same pop-up as above and save to update to the newly selected grade.
Important - this is only to be used for correcting a mistake made by yourself, issuing or a customer selecting their initial grade in the app. It is not the method of promoting someone - this must be done by adding a new promotion, as explained above.
Promotion Prompts
In the app as a coach, you can see information about a customer's current grade and whether they are eligible for a promotion based on grade criteria and their attendance in the class register in the timetable.
The current grade is listed below their attendance count, and if you tap this, a small notification will tell you when it was achieved and how many attendances/days have passed since, so you can gauge how close they are to the next grade.
Once the promotion is due, the above will appear with the option to quickly promote from the app, which sends an email and notification in the same way as in the admin site.
