The updates to this feature are still currently in preview - to view all new changes to blocks watch the video below:

Building Blocks now follows the 'Weeks' style of programming.
To build a block, Head to Programming > Blocks and then from the top right - Actions > Add New
From the pop up give your block a title and then decide how you want this to be built.
Block only will just create a block of programming that will live in your session blocks. This will be stored for you to add into your programming calendar whenever you want to but won't be able to be seen by any members until you use it in programming. For example this might be a testing block you know you will want to use again in the future.
Or, you might want to build some individual programming that members can either use or purchase - for example, a block of programming that's called 'Pull up technique', or 'Weightlifting' etc.
Pack available - all members - this will create the block as a free 'pack' that can be seen and downloaded to a personal programming calendar by individual members.
Requires code will 'hide' the block behind a code. You can create codes from actions and 'add voucher' and then once a member pays you you can provide them with the code either in person or you can send the code through BoxMate to the individual.
Requires membership - this will let you 'hide' the block of programming behind a TeamUp membership type so you can charge it through TeamUp.
Write a short description / overview of the programming in this block to refer back to or for members to see when deciding whether to purchase the block
Next, build out your block/ how it will work. If you know that you're building a 6 week block of programming that will have 4 sessions a week that will be Monday, tues, weds and Saturday then you can select 'same session days each week'
You would build this as in the example below:
By clicking 'Prepare Block' this will build out the block for you to see/ check. You can easily switch / change some days around here.
If the days might be different on every week, for example, week 1 there are 4 sessions, week 2 there will be 2 sessions, week 3 there will be 5 sessions all on different days then select this option before specifying how many weeks it will span, then click 'prepare block'.
This will give you a fully blank overview of your 6 week block and you simply click on the days you want sessions to prepare before clicking 'build block'.
Now, from the blocks page, find the block you created and click 'view and edit' to bring up the block page where you can build out the sessions.
This is going to bring up a week at a time to build sessions based off the structure you decided. So, here we have week 1 which we asked it to build sessions on day 1, 3 and 6.
Build out the sessions as you normally would. Once finished with this week simply toggle to the week you want to build sessions for next.
At the top, you can then switch to 'manage' your block to complete any 'structural' work and changes to the block.
This page is where you can drag and drop any sessions (just click on the session and drag to it's new position), re-order the sessions or edit a session directly from the side.
Clicking the orange 'edit' button will bring up the session to the right where you can directly edit/ tweak the session from here.
The other buttons let you copy the session which will bring up a pop up for you. You can either copy the session and rebuild it as new or keep it linked, or rebuild the workouts or keep them linked.
This means it will either be created as a totally new session so any changes you make to the 'future' session won't affect the original - if you keep them linked it will copy the session and keep everything linked so members can see progress between them / see the scores on the same workout in the library etc. BUT if you keep them linked keep in mind any changes you make to the session or workout will CHANGE IT IN BOTH PLACES.
If you want to copy more than one session at a time simply hold command and click to select multiple sessions before copying them. Then you select the target day to copy it to - leaving this box blank will recreate it to the end.
You can also build a session with the plus button, delete it or unlink it. You can do this for individual sessions or, use command to select multiple days to do this action across multiple days.
The top right buttons 'Insert start and end' lets you insert days at the start and end of the block, or, if you click on a specific day you can add days to the block from here. You can also copy sessions from somewhere in the block to repeat them later on in the block.
You can also head to actions to either add a new full week somewhere in the block or 'copy' a week to duplicate/ repeat it further on in the block of programming.
Back on the 'edit sessions' view you have the ability to see an 'overview' of the full block. Click 'overview' and this will open up the below view:
While you can't make any changes from this view directly, it gives a clear overview of the full block, which days have sessions attached, which are empty and a summary of the session details.
Now, once your block is built out, if this is just a block for you to keep inside blocks to use at a later date you can now do this.
Under the block, click the 3 dots and this will give you a few options, you can update it, duplicate (Copy) the entire block, or remove it. To use it in your programming calendar click 'Apply block'.
From this pop up, you'll now decide if this is going to be applied to the full gym, or an individual client (if you have PT clients).
If it's a PT client select that as an option and then select the PT client you want to apply this block to from the dropdown.
Next, select the start date for the block to be applied to this PT client's calendar and then 'apply block'.
If it's a gym programme, simply select the gym programme you want this to be applied to from the dropdown and the date you'd like it to start.
Now, if we had created this block to be used and hidden behind a voucher or a membership, you'll also see the option to 'Announce' that this block of programming is now available to be purchased by members.
In the members' app members can head to their programming tab, then select the signpost in the top left and from here will see any available packs, free or available to purchase.
If 'hidden' behind a TeamUp membership, this pop up will show asking for the member to purchase the required membership then they will be able to download and access the programming.
If it's behind a voucher, the below will show and until you send the voucher through BoxMate, or give this verbally to the member they won't be able to access this code meaning you can control which way you'd like to be paid for this programme whether by cash or an alternative payment method outside of TeamUp.
Back on Blocks, head to 'Actions' and 'Pack Voucher' to create, find and send out any voucher codes to members.
To create a new voucher, fill in the details on the pop up. It will ask you to select the block that this voucher code works for, then you can choose if this is going to be a one-off code for a specific member, or a general code to be used multiple times (if the latter do not select a member).
You can then either leave the code box blank to let the system auto generate a code, or type in your own.
You can also select a use limit. For example, if you only want to sell a maximum of 50 of these blocks you can add the number 50, if this is a one off code, 1, or leave blank to keep it unlimited.
Again you can choose an expiry date, or, leave this blank if you don't ever want the code to expire.
And that's how to use Session Blocks inside BoxMate.
