This feature is still in preview and subject to minor changes - please share any feedback and issues with our team as we prepare for the final release.
Please take a look at the separate guide here for managing and viewing your built automations, but to build your first one, continue here.
Click “add” to load the editor. You will first select the trigger from the list of options, which explains when it will run, select one, and then you will see the criteria.
To rename the automation for clarity, you can click the edit icon in the top bar and type something clearer for easier identification in the journey view.
Trigger Criteria
Now you have selected the trigger - it's time to configure when this automation sends and who it goes to:
Delay: How long after this is triggered do you want it to be actioned - the default “0 minutes” will send the minute after the trigger.
Send Time (Stuck Only): For certain triggers where a lead is stuck in a stage, we run daily to check their position, and you specify what time on the matched day to trigger the action.
Value: For certain triggers, there is the option to send when an amount of something is matched, for example number of attendances. Enter this here.
Campaigns: Specify to send only to leads that arrived through a specific custom BoxMate campaign landing page.
Form Answers: If using the standard BoxMate landing page, you can target based on the answer to a question, for example, “What are you interested in?” (CrossFit / Personal Training).
Memberships - Select which active memberships to include. At the point of triggering, only customers with the selected active memberships will qualify.
Exclude Customers - For some triggers (After First Class/First Class Attended), an additional option is available to stop an automation from sending if a customer has already purchased a customer membership (defined in your CRM configuration). The use case here is that after a first class, which is part of a trial, you may want to prompt a few times for a lead to purchase a full membership and set automations to go at 1 day after, 3 and 7. However, if they sign up on day 2, you won't want those remaining 2 prompts to send, and this prevents that.
Actions
Now to setup choose under criteria what's actually going to happen with the action following the trigger:
Email - Sends an email to the leads' registered email address, supports title, formatted content, CTA (Call to action/link), and an optional image. For the CTA, you can select a URL, TeamUp membership purchase link or in-app page from the dropdowns.
Task - Creates a task for the coaching team or a specified coach. See the >Guide Here< for how to use the tasks feature.
Message - Sends an in-app message from the gym, which is received and can be replied to. This required the lead/customer to have been invited to and downloaded/logged in to the BoxMate app.
SMS - Sends an SMS to the leads/customers.
Important #2: SMS only currently works for leads that come through via the BoxMate landing page, not those created in TeamUp first.
Important #1: This requires that SMS be configured via the connected TeamUp account and is billed via TeamUp.
Dynamic Content - There are options available to insert content related to your facility or the target lead. Select from the dropdown, which will copy to the clipboard and then paste wherever you like in the content field.
Once finished, hit save and set live to enable your automation, and it will immediately start qualifying based on the set criteria.
