The following contains suggestions for an example Journey and what those automations could look like to nurture leads and help towards improved conversion and retention.

The below does not contain all available triggers but what we believe is a good coverage of the lead/customer journey.

New Lead

  1. Send an email or SMS thanking a new lead for registering with a link to purchase a free trial, book an online consultation or to acknowledge receipt of the registration and confirming someone will be in touch.

  2. Also create a task assigned to a dedicated coach to follow up the lead if specified someone will be in touch.

Lead Stuck

Send an email 3 days after a lead registers but doesn’t purchase one of your trial memberships with a nudge and reminder of the booking link.

Trial Stuck

  1. Send an email 7 days after a lead purchases a trial memberships but hasn’t progressed to a customer membership with a reminder of the purchase link and nudge for them to get over the line and commit.

  2. Also create a task 10 days after a lead purchases for a coach to call the lead and follow up.

Customer New (1 Hour Delay)

Send an email after 1 hour thanking the customer for joining and giving some information about your facility and the community with potentially a link to view your welcome pack PDF.

Booked First Class

Send an email congratulaitng ofr booking their first class, re-iterating your excitement for them to join the facility and maybe linking to your instagram account or website showing them what they can expect.

Before First Class

Send an email containing any information helpful to someone attending their first class at your facility. This could be to bring certain equipment, a picture of the car park with where to park or an access code required. Maybe even a “don’t worry if you are new to fitness - you are in good hands” style message.

First Class Attended (Generic Catch-All)

Send an email after a short delay with congratulations for the first class and a reminder to download BoxMate for tracking progress.

First Class Attended (Convert Lead)

Criteria: Trial Membership

  1. Send an email after a hour with a well done on the session and a link to purchase a full customer membership.

  2. Create a task for 3 days later for a coach to follow up post tril and attempt to convert to a full membership
