TeamUp Appointments in BoxMate

This guide covers how to enable TeamUp appointments in BoxMate so members can book directly in the app, and how to announce appointment availability.

📝 Overview

TeamUp appointments can be enabled inside BoxMate so your members never need to leave the app to book. Whether you want to offer 1-to-1 check-in slots, specialist equipment bookings, or PT availability, members can view and book all available appointments directly from the BoxMate app.


✅️ Enabling Appointments

To enable TeamUp appointments in the BoxMate app, navigate to Account ➜ Settings from the sidebar menu, then select the TeamUp tab. Toggle the appointments setting to ON so appointments are visible to members in the app.

  • Navigate to Account ➜ Settings from the sidebar menu.

  • Select the TeamUp tab and toggle the appointments setting to ON.


🧑‍💻 Customer View

Once appointments are enabled, members can find and book them directly in the BoxMate app. They will see a list of available appointments and can make any required purchases if an appointment has an associated cost.

Members tap the menu in the top left of their app homepage, then select Book Appointments. This shows all available appointments that are open for booking.


📢 Announcing Appointments

You can send an email or push notification to promote a specific appointment directly from BoxMate. When members receive the announcement they can tap through to book immediately.

  • Navigate to Account ➜ TeamUp from the sidebar menu, then select the TeamUp tab. This lists all appointments configured in your TeamUp account.

  • Scroll or search to find the appointment you want to announce. Click Actions, and you can either open the appointment in TeamUp to make edits, or click Announce.

  • Clicking Announce opens a pop-up where you can add a title, description, and choose who receives the announcement — all members, a specific group, or selected individuals. You can also choose to send via email, push notification, or both.

Once sent, selected members will receive the announcement and can tap through to book directly.

Where are appointments configured?

Appointments are created and configured inside your TeamUp account. BoxMate pulls them in and displays them to members. The toggle in Account ➜ Settings ➜ TeamUp controls whether they are visible in the BoxMate app.

Can appointments have a cost?

Yes. If an appointment has a cost configured in TeamUp, members will be able to make the necessary purchase when booking through the BoxMate app.

Can I announce to specific members only?

Yes. When announcing an appointment you can choose to send to all members, a specific group, or individually selected members. You can also choose to send via email, push notification, or both.
