Password Reset Guide 🔑

This guide explains what to do if you’ve been logged out of the BoxMate app or are unable to sign in.

Don't worry if you've recently been logged out of your BoxMate app and asked to update your password - this is usually quick and easy to resolve!

From time to time, you may be prompted to update your password for security reasons, particularly if it hasn't been changed for a while.

You may also be logged out when a new app update has been released. In either case, simply follow the steps below to get back into your account.

I've been prompted to update my password - 🔐

If you've been logged out of the app, simply log back in using your current email address and password.

You'll be asked to:

  1. Enter your current password.

  2. Create a new password.

  3. Confirm your new password.

Once you've saved your new password, you'll be taken back to the login screen. Simply log in again using your email address and your newly created password.

I've forgotten my password - 🔑

No problem! If you can't remember your current password, you have two options:

Option 1: Use the Magic Link 🪄

Enter the email address associated with your account and select Magic Link. An email will be sent to your registered email address containing a button labelled "Login To The App Now". Tap this button, and the BoxMate app will open automatically, logging you straight into your account.


Option 2: Reset Your Password - 🔐

Alternatively, tap the key icon in the bottom-right corner of the BoxMate app.


You'll be asked to enter the email address linked to your account. Once submitted, an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to that email address.

When the OTP arrives, enter it into the Code field on the screen and follow the prompts to create and confirm your new password.


‼️ Please note that the OTP is valid for one hour. After this time, you’ll need to request a new code if it has expired.



Once your password has been successfully updated, you'll be redirected to the login screen, where you can sign in using your email address and new password.

A couple of helpful tips ✨

  • If you can't see the OTP email, please check your junk or spam folder.

  • Make sure you're checking the email address linked to your BoxMate account.
